How to Decorate for a Small Group
This past weekend our ministry hosted a Beauty for Ashes Women’s Conference was absolutely amazing!!!! I was able to share a portion of my testimony about how God has blessed me to break 3 generations of extreme poverty! Lives were touched and changed forever. I truly thank God for giving me a chance! After the conference, we had a light brunch and it was decorated simply, yet elegantly. The conference made such an impact in the lives of all who attended that I thought it would be nice for me to share with you a few tips on how to decorate your home or intimate event space for your small group.
Pray for a theme that will meet the needs of your specific group and select creative décor or centerpieces that will correlate with it. If someone has fresh flowers in their yard, use them to make beautiful lush centerpieces. Spread a linen tablecloth on the table to coordinate with the flowers in order to achieve a luxury look for less.
Provide refreshments that consists of fruits, veggies, muffins and/or salads. You want to stick with something that is cost effective, light and easy to serve.
Purpose in your heart to create an atmosphere that is conducive for hope, love, peace, grace, mercy and reconciliation to take place. Play worship music, pray before and after and plan ahead so that everything flow effortlessly.
Adding beauty, a sense of calm, and creativity to your space will make the atmosphere warm and inviting. Open your heart and home, and keep your focus on the people. Making an impact the in the lives of others will be more rewarding than you can ever imagine. I hope that these tips have lended you some inspiration for decorating for a small group.
