Graduation is right around the corner and I cannot think of a better reason to celebrate. Today, I will be sharing with you a few super budget friendly ideas for hosting a graduation party. I hope that you all will find these tips helpful in planning an epic party to celebrate your scholar.
Invitations- One of the most frugal ways to invite family and friends is send it electronically or to create a Facebook event. * You may want to create a few DIY paper invites to send to guest who may not have social media.
Venue- Host your party in the comfort of your home in order to further reduce cost. If your home does not have the proper spacing/seating for your guest; considering renting out a pavilion, park or public facility that has low-cost rental fees.
Décor- Now this one can add up very quickly as it is easy to get carried away. The important thing here is to stick with a theme and carry it throughout the party for the biggest impact. Food- Planning a menu has proven to be more cost effective than offering a plethora of finger foods. I recently hosted an event and the caterer provided smoked chicken, green beans, baked potatoes with all the trimmings, rolls and sweet tea- for $6.50 per person. We were able to feed 30 people for less than $200! Grilling is always a great option as well… Whatever you choose to do, remember to create a budget and don’t bulge.
