A few weeks ago I shared a few simple tips on how to host a royal tea in your community. For those of you who may have missed it, my husband and I host a royal tea each year for little girls in our community. I recently posted it this year’s tea and you can watch it here, https://youtu.be/4-m8Jt6Sbqs .
Paint a Mural- Our studio is located is the historical district of our town. A group of artist recently painted beautiful murals on the sides of the buildings. The results have been absolutely stunning and make great photos for family outings.
Share Your Skills this Summer- Many of the children in our communities spend their summers in camps or programs that do not have the funding needed to allow them to gain new experiences. Seek out opportunities for volunteers to help with activities for kids—schools, after school care programs, day care centers, camps, church groups, the YMCA, mentorship programs and more.
Research and Write- Many companies give back to communities for various events such as back to school book bag drives. The key to securing these funds for your community is finding out how and when to apply. Form a group in your community to divvy out these tasks so that you will have the financial support to give back. If you would like more info on how to write sponsorship letters to companies head over to my blog and leave a comment.
I hope that you all have enjoyed me sharing creative ways to give back in your community. Making a positive impact in your community can be easy and equally as fun, when you expand your ideas about how and where you can help. You don’t need an unlimited amount of money or endless time to make a difference. All you need is a heart to give and a desire serve. I challenge each of you to use the skills you already have and come up with various creative ways to meet the needs in your community in the areas that they are the greatest.
